Perica Nonkovic


Perica grew up in the former Yugoslavia. As a refugee of war and at 21 years of age, Perica, along with his parents and sister, fled to Canada and made a new home in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Perica began studying at the University of Manitoba soon after moving to Canada in 1997. He graduated from dentistry in 2004, and made the move out west with a desire for adventure.

After working for dental offices in the area as an associate for the first few years, Perica founded Access Dental in 2008. He recently transitioned into a senior management and partner role, as Access Dental was absorbed into Dental Corporation of Canada, and now oversees two separate dental offices here in Grande Prairie. He continues to practice his passion, dentistry, in these practices.

In 2005, he met his now wife, Melissa, who is born and raised in the Peace region. They have been married since 2008 and together they have one daughter and one son, ages 8 and 6. He enjoys snowboarding and skiing with his family and also enjoys snowboarding in more extreme terrain when without his family. In the summertime, Perica hopes to be found enjoying time with his family in Winnipeg or enjoying lake life and sports.

Outside of dentistry, Perica has a definite entrepreneurial spirit, having taken on starting companies involved in real estate holdings, construction, development, oil and gas, retail, and restaurant industry.

Lionel Robins


Started career in Auto Industry in 1992, in Sales & Finance, working through various management roles from 1994 to 2001.  In 2002, became General Manager and Managing Partner of a large volume franchise, and in 2004 moved into a Dealer Principle Partner position of a large volume franchise in Moncton, New Brunswick.  The company I partnered in, took company public, to become the first publicly traded auto dealership group in Canada in 2006.  Upon completing the IPO, I resigned from my position, to relocate back to Alberta, and start my own auto dealership group with some local silent partners.

We purchased our first store in 2006, and have since grown to 6 locations across Northern Alberta.  Our goal was to diversify our business holdings, and over the past 12 years we have added an auto body repair operation, 11 National Rental franchises, 6 hotel properties, and several commercial real estate investments.

Outside of that partnership group, I have formed other partnership companies, including an oil and gas industry trucking company (TLR Enterprises Inc.), a professional education and development business (MotivateU Peformance Education Ltd), and several other real estate holdings.

Part of my strategy, is to not only conduct our business within the Northern Alberta and BC area, but also heavily invest and engage in the communities that those companies operate within.  Our companies build strong brands within our communities, and I try to lead by example to my 200+ employees, to have a strong presence to promote and grow that brand.  I currently am in my second 3 year term on the STARS Air Ambulance Board of Directors, as the only Northern Alberta member of that board currently.  I have recently been appointed the Chair of the Foundation Committee, tasked with heading up an aggressive $150M capital fundraising project, to replace the entire helicopter fleet across Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

After leading a successful bid to host the 2018 Alberta Summer Games in Grande Prairie, Alberta, I was then appointed as Chair of the Games to oversee their successful execution. Over and above these official board positions, I work closely with several local youth and sport groups, including the local YMCA Strong Kids program, and the Grande Prairie Minor Football Association.

Darcy Smith

I joined TLR Enterprises Inc in 2014 as the Leading Consultant in Marketing and New Business Development. With bringing 25 years of experience, it has been successful in building TLR Enterprises to be the fastest growing & leader in performing Top Quality Fluid Management.

I am originally from Vernon, BC. I have a passion for music and acting. I decided to pursue my career in acting in the mid 80’s. All my acting career was filmed in Vancouver, BC. Some of my fondest memories in my film career was the series “21 Jump Street” with Johnny Depp and the film “Where no Angels” with Robert DeNiro & Sean Penn.

I moved to Fort St. John, BC where my career in Sales and Business Development began. My father Syd started a trucking company and I was responsible for the growth and development of the business. In 1994, I was offered a position with Compass Transfer as Sales and Business Development in Grande Prairie, Alberta. A short 6 years later, the company was sold, and I was offered to start a new tank truck company, Panda Tank & Vac Services which developed into one of the most successful tank truck companies in BC & Alberta.

Outside of Sales & Business Development, my wife Charlee and I enjoy camping, fishing locally and travelling. I also enjoy golfing without my wife. (LOL)

I also enjoy gathering local companies together to volunteer within our community. Christmas 2018, I had the opportunity to be directly involved in supporting our local Salvation Army with Seven Generations Logistics Manager, Chuck Rouleau and Truck Team.

Trista Stranaghan is an innovative and driven Accounting Professional with 15 Years experience. Trista strives to learn new ways of doing things and takes on challenges that are sometimes out of her comfort zone. Trista has strong interpersonal skills by building confidence from colleagues that work around her and across the organization. Trista leads by example and is one that rolls up her sleeve to get the job done.

It is Trista’s unusual ability to communicate and bridge the gap between what has been done and what others say can’t be accomplished that make her stand out above the rest when it comes to her leadership and abilities.

Trista met her husband Steven, who was born and raised in the Peace Country. Together they have 5 children, 3 daughters ages 8, 13, 20 and twin boys age 5. She enjoys farm life and horses.
